Mai Vang, the far-left challenger aiming to oust longtime Rep. Doris Matsui (D-CA), is set to campaign alongside a series of other far-left and anti-Israel figures including streamer Hasan Piker and a group of other Democratic Socialists of America-aligned candidates, according to Politico.

A progressive operative, quoted anonymously, told the news outlet that Melat Kiros, Adam Hamawy, Chris Rabb, Darializa Avila Chevalier, Claire Valdez and Donavan McKinney, other progressive Democratic congressional nominees who’ve won insurgent victories around the country in recent months, are set to collectively endorse Vang.

Politico also reported that Vang is expected to join Piker for a fundraising stream early next month, citing an unnamed person familiar with the plans.

The far-left Justice Democrats, which helped propel several of the other candidates to victory, is also fundraising on behalf of Vang, as well as Angela Gonzales-Torres, who is challenging Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-CA), and Justin Pearson, who is running in a deep-red, newly redistricted Tennessee House seat.

The Justice Democrats fundraising appeal specifically cites Chevalier, Kiros, Rabb and Hamawy’s presence at a protest outside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s United Nations General Assembly speech last week, during which Chevalier was arrested.
