With two days until the Massachusetts Senate primary, Rep. Joe Kennedy III (D-MA) is trailing incumbent Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) in the congressman’s home district, according to a new Jewish Insider poll

Kennedy is statistically tied with Markey in Massachusetts’s 4th, the district Kennedy has represented since 2013. Markey picked up support from 48% of poll respondents in the district, while Kennedy received support from 44%, according to the poll conducted by Jewish Insider and RABA Research.

The 4th district poll surveyed 497 Democratic and independent likely voters, with a margin of error of ±4.39%. Eight percent of respondents were undecided. The poll was conducted via landline and cell phone calls Aug 27-28.

The Massachusetts pro-Israel community, which has an outsized presence in the Boston area, appears to be largely rallying behind Kennedy in the primary.

Kennedy led Markey 44% to 37% in a JI poll of voters in Massachusetts’s 1st congressional district in the state’s western portion, where Kennedy has claimed Markey has been absent.
