A Rabbi, Senator, Congresswoman & Ambassador walk into Eli’s…
Not the start of a joke. Rather, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, Senator Cory Booker, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, and Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer all went out to eat at the famed Eli’s kosher restaurant in Northwest DC. Dermer and Booker were both presidents of Boteach’s Oxford L’Chaim society. Senator Booker in 1993 and Ambassador Dermer in 1996.
