President Donald Trump (L) and Chinese President Xi Jinping arrive for talks at the Gimhae Air Base, South Korea, on October 30, 2025.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon and Dell Technologies CEO Michael Dell are among the tech and AI executives expected to attend the White House’s state dinner on Thursday night for Chinese President Xi Jinping, according to CNBC and a partial attendee list shared on Friday by the White House.
The list of expected attendees also includes the CEOs of Nvidia, Google and Citigroup, as well as Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Apple Executive Chairman Tim Cook, Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Politico reported on Tuesday that OpenAI President Greg Brockman is also slated to attend.
Xi, who is scheduled to arrive in the U.S. on Wednesday, will not attend the U.N. General Assembly’s high-level week, which begins on Tuesday, and will instead be in Washington for the duration of his trip. The White House last hosted a state dinner for Xi in 2015, during the Obama administration.
