WH Chief of Staff to Speak at Jewish Federations’ GA

White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough is expected to speak on behalf of the Obama administration at the Jewish Federations of North America’s General Assembly, Jewish Insider has learned.

The General Assembly will be held at the Washington Hilton this coming Sunday through Tuesday.

The WH Chief of Staff is considered one of Obama’s closest foreign policy advisers.

McDonough, according to sources, will speak at the closing plenary session on Tuesday, which will also feature speeches by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Opposition Leader Isaac Herzog, and former Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird. Also listed as speakers at the annual conference are Rabbi David Saperstein, United States Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom, and former Ambassador and Mideast envoy Dennis Ross.

The Prime Minister is expected to meet with President Barack Obama in the Oval Office on Monday, in what seems as a reset in the relationship between the two countries in the post-Iran deal era.
