About Jewish Insider

Jewish Insider covers politics and policy, and the people driving it, in the United States, the Middle East and around the world. Our readers are the people making decisions in those arenas: members of Congress and their staffs, administration officials, donors, communal leaders and executives, across the ideological spectrum. They come to us for original reporting they can’t get elsewhere, delivered first.

Overview

Jewish Insider is looking for motivated, creative students and recent graduates interested in the business side of digital media.

Our team works on everything from advertising and subscriptions to marketing, design, events and the technology that keeps our publications running. We’re looking for interns who can bring their own skills and interests to that work, whether it’s developing new business opportunities, creating graphics and videos, helping organize events or finding better ways to reach our audience.

We’re a small team with a lot going on. Interns should be comfortable taking initiative, learning new things and working on projects that match their interests and skills.

Potential Responsibilities

Depending on experience and interests, interns may:

  • Research potential advertisers, sponsors and business partnerships.
  • Assist with advertising campaigns, sales materials and client outreach.
  • Create graphics, video and other content for our website, newsletters and social media.
  • Help plan and coordinate events and other audience engagement opportunities.
  • Support marketing, subscription growth and audience development.
  • Assist with website updates, digital publishing and other operational projects.
  • Research new tools and ideas that could improve how we work.

Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate.
  • Interest or experience in business, marketing, graphic design, video production, event planning, technology or digital media.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working independently, asking questions and taking initiative.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and adapt as priorities change.
  • Previous relevant experience is helpful but not required.

Program: Summer
