Jewish Insider’s readership comprises civic and communal leaders from across the ideological spectrum. In addition to coalescing an otherwise segmented community each day around the news, we aim to introduce new ideas, initiatives and individuals to our readers via our original reporting.

About the role: JI is looking for a talented, hard-working journalist with strong initiative, good news judgement, social media expertise and a desire to tap into and drive the daily conversation in the Jewish world.

Responsibilities: The social media coordinator will work alongside the editing team on the daily production of JI’s Daily Kickoff newsletter, keep track of breaking news and help maintain our social media channels throughout the day.

Qualifications: Prior journalism experience, passion for the coverage areas and overall news cycle, attention to detail, ability to multitask and manage multiple assignments, excellent social skills and strong initiative. Social  media management experience and experience with newsletter production a strong plus. Digital experience strongly preferred.
