About: eJewish Philanthropy is a news publication covering the world of Jewish philanthropy with the goal to capture, convene and drive the daily conversation in the Jewish philanthropic sector each day via original news reporting and thought pieces on the pressing issues. eJP is a sister company of Jewish Insider.
About the role: eJP is looking for a talented, hard-working editor with strong initiative, good news judgement and a desire to tap into and drive the daily conversation in the Jewish philanthropic world.
Responsibilities: eJP editors work with full-time and freelance reporters to chase down scoops, cultivate sources, manage pitch ideas, break news and contribute to our weekday newsletter. Editors are expected to manage stories from initial assignment until publication and coordinate, when necessary, with editorial team at Jewish Insider.
Qualifications: Prior journalism and editing experience, passion for the coverage areas and overall news cycle, ability to multitask and manage multiple assignments, excellent social skills and strong initiative. Digital skills a strong plus.
