About: Jewish Insider is a digital news publication covering U.S. politics, philanthropy and business news. Jewish Insider’s readership comprises civic and communal leaders from across the ideological spectrum. In addition to coalescing an otherwise segmented community each day around the news, we aim to introduce new ideas, initiatives and individuals to our readers via our original reporting.

We are looking for freelance writers who can profile emerging leaders and voices in an engaging manner that leaves our readers with a real sense of the individual subject and the efforts they are pursuing. This includes social entrepreneurs, political candidates, startup founders and activists. While our core staff is based in DC and New York, we are interested in profiling individuals throughout the United States and Middle East, and as such intend to engage a network of freelancers to help. 

Profiles should run between 1,000-1,400 words. Payment is per piece.
