About: Jewish Insider is a curated digest and news site delivering U.S. politics, philanthropy and business news to a network of civic and communal leaders from across the ideological spectrum. In addition to coalescing an otherwise segmented community each day, we see news as an opportunity to introduce new ideas, initiatives and individuals to our readers.
About the role: JI is looking for talented, curious writers with strong initiative, good news judgement and a desire to tap into and drive the conversation in the overlapping spheres of politics, business and philanthropy. JI reporters chase down scoops, cultivate sources, pitch ideas, break news and contribute to our weekday newsletter, the Daily Kickoff. Our fellows will publish concise, thoroughly researched and reported news items each week as well as feature articles as assigned. Additional newsroom, editing, and publishing responsibilities will be added according to needs, experience, and interests.
Qualifications: Prior journalism and writing experience a plus, close follower of the news cycle, passion for our coverage areas, excellent social skills and strong initiative. Undergraduate Junior and Senior or graduates preferred.
Compensation: Generous stipend provided
Job Type: Full and part time; year-round
