About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic business development team member to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth across our publications. As Director of Revenue, you will take a hands-on responsibility for strategically planning, managing accounts, and overseeing every facet of revenue growth operations. Your expertise will be pivotal in nurturing client relationships, marketing membership programs, retaining paid subscribers, optimizing ad placements, and identifying the most suitable sponsors across our platforms.

Elements of the Job
- Strategically plan, execute, and manage advertising campaigns for clients across digital platforms.
- Develop, market, and launch paid membership programs across the publications.
- Pursue partnership opportunities for events and other premium engagements.
- Develop comprehensive advertising plans considering inventory, content mix, and seasonality.
- Communicate regularly with clients, ensuring timely campaign delivery and addressing issues with effective solutions.
- Participate in sales negotiations, manage inventory, and advertising calendar to foster buyer relationships.
- Handle post-campaign communication, reviewing ad placements, and managing invoicing.
- Monitor campaign performance, ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure ads meet technical requirements.
- Develop client relationships, create persuasive presentations for ad placements.
- Set standards for the sales cycle, from prospecting to renewals.
- Devise a strategy to attract new business aligned with our target audience.
- Maintain client relationships through networking.
- Achieve monthly goals and analyze ad inventory for rate maintenance and revenue optimization.
- Utilize programmatic advertising, monitoring results.
- Prepare sales reports for Editor-in-Chief, Operations Director, and Publisher.
Qualifications
- Prior journalism experience.
- A passion for Jewish communal life, preferably with previous experience or knowledge of Jewish institutions and philanthropies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Demonstrated inside sales mastery.
- Showcase prospecting, lead generation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong writing, organization, presentation, time management, and prioritization abilities.
- Minimum 2-3 years in a similar role, preferably in news or entertainment media.
- Preferred bachelor’s degree; proficiency in various advertising products.
