Isaac ‘Yitz’ Applbaum is an avid collector of Kosher and Israeli wines, and serves as Jewish Insider’s wine columnist. When not writing about wines, Yitz is a co-founder of MizMaa Ventures (a combination of two Hebrew words: Mizrach and Maarav – meaning East and West) investing in Israeli technology companies. Yitz also serves on the boards of The Shalem Institute, The Asia Society, The Hirshhorn Museum, The Jerusalem Foundation, and the RJC. He is a long time member of YPO and was recently made a Commissioner on the The Commission for Presidential Scholars.
