Clinton to Woo NY Jews at High-Dollar Fundraiser

Hillary Clinton is expected to raise over a million dollars for her presidential campaign at a pro-Israel event in New York City on Tuesday evening.

Dubbed as a “Jewish leadership discussion with Hillary,” the event will be attended by the biggest hitters in the Jewish and pro-Israel community, according to sources who are familiar with the advance planning but were unauthorized to provide details.

Ticket costs are in the range of $10,000 per person to $25,000 for a co-hosting role. For the amount of $100,000, donors would get to attend a roundtable with the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, according to the invitation posted on the campaign’s website.

The US-Israel relationship is likely to be central in Clinton’s discussion given the almost nonexistent support for Donald Trump among Jewish donors amid his recent statements and campaign rhetoric.

Clinton’s event comes on the heels of a full-fledged endorsement by her primary rival, Bernie Sanders, two weeks before the Democratic national convention in Philadelphia.

“Secretary Clinton has won the Democratic nominating process, and I congratulate her for that,” Sanders said during a joint campaign rally in New Hampshire on Tuesday. “She will be the Democratic nominee for president and I intend to do everything I can to make certain she will be the next president of the United States.”
