About the role: JI is looking for a talented, hard-working reporter with strong initiative, good news judgment and a desire to tap into, and drive, the daily conversation in Washington and across the country.

Responsibilities: The JI DC reporter will work alongside our other Washington, D.C., reporters to cover Congress and the State Department with a major focus on how Congressional politics and foreign policy affects Israel, antisemitism, and the Jewish community at large. The job will also involve coverage of the 2024 presidential campaign and assistance with DC-focused news curation for the Daily Kickoff newsletter and other editorial products.

Qualifications: Prior journalism experience and/or an interest in politics recommended.  The ability to multitask and manage multiple assignments, excellent social skills and strong initiative are also essential. Digital skills, attention to detail and experience with newsletter production are a strong plus.
