About the role: JI is looking for an events coordinator with strong initiative, excellent organizational skills, effective communications skills and a track record of success. By organizing top-tier events, this person will bring together leaders in the political, business, and philanthropic world whose ideas shape and affect the Jewish community. Responsibilities:
● Create and oversee the budget for events, negotiate deals and rates with vendors, venues and other providers.
● Work with JI leadership to cultivate and curate appropriate invitee lists and do personal outreach to invitees.
● Arrange and carry out all event logistics, including, but not limited to, scheduling events, overseeing setup, catering, and renting party supplies.
● Work closely with venue employees, vendors, and stakeholders.
● Coordinate all event-related communications, including invitations, registration, and event materials.
● Perform post-event analyses and report on the success of events, incorporating input from stakeholders, clients, and attendees.
● Conduct prompt and relevant follow-up with event attendees to ensure strong, ongoing relationship-building from well-executed events.
● Stay up-to-date with business trends, best practices, and emerging technologies that can enhance event planning and execution.

Requirements:
● 3-5 years of event management and planning expertise, preferably in a business or nonprofit setting.
● Excellent project management and organizational abilities, including the capacity to oversee several events at once.
● Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including the capacity to collaborate successfully with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
● Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by event schedules.
● Expertise with tools for event planning, such as Eventbrite, Cvent or RegOnline.
● Effective event budget management abilities, including the ability to negotiate contracts.
