Ivanka Trump on Thursday assured Jewish voters in the key battleground of Florida that her father, Donald Trump, will be an “unbelievable champion” for the State of Israel and Jewish people around the world if elected as president next month.

“My father will be an unbelievable champion for Israel and for the Jewish people,” Mrs. Trump said during a campaign event at The Shul of Bal Harbour in Surfside, Florida, according to a recording obtained by Jewish Insider. “You will not be disappointed.”

Ivanka, who is married to Jared Kushner, also told the crowd that her father fully supported her when she converted to Judaism in 2009. “I so respect the fact that he supported me from day one,” she said. “There was no question, there was no argument. He was very supportive.”

She also echoed her father on the U.S.-Israel relationship. “Many presidential candidates have promised, like your father, to change the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. He’s also stated that he will make Jerusalem the undivided capital of Israel. Is your father committed to doing this and will he make it a reality?” one of the attendees asked in a pre-screened question-and-answer session, according to CBS Miami. “One-hundred percent,” Ivanka responded. “One-hundred percent, Jerusalem is the eternal capital, so 100 percent.”

Asked how Judaism has inspired her to be what she is today, Trump said, “I feel like Judaism helps your moral compass.” Adding, “It’s been a great blessing in my life.”

Ivanka and her sister Tiffany also made campaign stops in Jupiter and Riviera Beach, according to the Trump campaign.

Jewish voters represent 3 to 6 percent of the electorate in Florida. Clinton is ahead by 1.6 percentage points, according to the RealClearPolitics average. A recent poll showed Clinton leading Trump by 43 points among Jewish voters in the Sunshine State. However, among Orthodox Jews, Trump leads Clinton 66-22 percent.
