Huckabee: Trump ‘Willing to Learn’ about Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee on Monday defended Donald Trump’s foreign policy approach and touted his ability to listen and to learn on complex issues such as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“I didn’t agree with [Trump] on that (“neutral” on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict comments). But I am telling you this: I would rather have him because I think he is willing to learn about the big difference between the Israelis and the Palestinians,” Huckabee said during a debate with Dan Senor, a former foreign policy adviser to several presidential candidates, on Fox News’ “The Kelly File” on Monday. “I don’t think Hillary [Clinton] has the capacity to change her mind. I think she’s ironclad.”

Senor responded in dismay: “I have been involved with Republican and Conservative national security debates for decades. I am sad to say that our nominee, the best we can say for him is that he will be slightly less worse than the Democratic candidate.”
